Heineken are the masters of the stunt. Every year they find new and interesting ways of creating social buzz through unique stunts. This year they leveraged their newly penned global partnership with Facebook and the Christmas holiday to make a social bang.
In Singapore Heineken found a unique way of making the traditional Christmas tree into a modern-day social tree (without losing all the symbolism that we all love about its tradition). Through a simple Facebook app and a beautifully designed LCD screen tree sculpture consumers could send greetings and touching thoughts in the forms of pictures and videos to the tree. Then you were invited to see your greeting come to life on the actual tree and online (if you happen to live a bit too far from Singapore where the LCD tree was constructed).
